"Momma must have thought I might wind up a life-time bachelor, so she wanted me to know how to cook a few of the essential country foods," John Austin says. "So she started out by teaching me how to make cornbread.

"Don't tell her, but I've discovered a few special touches that makes mine almost as good as hers. I'd say it was better, but every country boy knows .. ain't nothing better than Mama's cooking."

John shares his favorite cornbread recipes with you, along with a few other down-home favorites.
